Week 12/76 Milagros Y Un Nuevo Mes

This week was so crazy, but first off thank you everyone who sends me emails. I love reading about your lives and hearing from you! 

Other than that it's been adventurous. 

We know this member and we visit him all the time. He's 95 years old and he's so cute. His daughter is at his house to help him and we just go talk to them and she always gives us so much food. She's so nice and we just love visiting with them.

We visit these other members, Dora and Marisol, all the time. Marisol is blind but they're always super sweet and they always help me with my Spanish. I'm so grateful for all the members here. 

On Wednesday we had a crazy thing happen. There was a drunk guy in his car and he was trying to talk to us and then we were like 'okay here's our pamphlet' and he was like 'get in my car come with me'. So we are trying to get away and we get in  another car with this couple and we thought they were going to drive us away but then they got out of their car to call the police and fight this drunk guy. We are freaking out and the drunk guy tries to open the car door, so then we got out of their car and we ran to Relief Society presidents house. We were freaking out and then my companion had to talk with the cops. It was just so crazy. President told us to just chill the rest of the night and it was a super crazy experience. I am so grateful for everyone that prays for us because we are safe and it's all okay. 

The next day we had Zone council and we made Rice Krispie treats this week. We brought some to the elders at lunch but then they were doing intercambios so only one of our elders got a Rice Krispie Treat but sorry Elder McKenzie. 

We have a new friend who we found out knocking doors and he had lots of questions and we had a whole lesson with him and it was super awesome and then he wanted a book of Mormon and so we marked one up and we gave it to him. Now he's reading it and we're so excited to continue to teach him and we hope that he wants to get baptized. So that is super awesome. 

I got sunburned this week so I've been wearing sunscreen like crazy ever since. I'm doing lots of walking it's getting really hot now that it's really summertime here. Christmas is coming up super fast and we decorated our house and it's super fun.

Week 75/76 White And Ready To Harvest

I had the opportunity to teach about the Restoration and the Book of Mormon in english for the first time this week!  I asked them if they assist another church, when I was trying to ask if they attend another church and a few other spanish words slipped in, but it went well and they agreed to read 3rd Nephi!   We had 2 intercambios this week. With hermana Toro and hermana Guevara. I always learn so much and enjoy getting to know the hermanas!  We also laugh a bunch and become good friends!  We picked golden berries and had fresh golden berry juice for lunch. We also ate some pastries like the ones from Brave and Hermana Ortiz told me that in spanish they don't have a scottish accent. We had probably the worst lunch of my mission this week. Cold tuna with cheese and onions on top.
