Week 75/76 White And Ready To Harvest
I had the opportunity to teach about the Restoration and the Book of Mormon in english for the first time this week!
I asked them if they assist another church, when I was trying to ask if they attend another church and a few other spanish words slipped in, but it went well and they agreed to read 3rd Nephi!
We had 2 intercambios this week. With hermana Toro and hermana Guevara. I always learn so much and enjoy getting to know the hermanas! We also laugh a bunch and become good friends!
We picked golden berries and had fresh golden berry juice for lunch. We also ate some pastries like the ones from Brave and Hermana Ortiz told me that in spanish they don't have a scottish accent. We had probably the worst lunch of my mission this week. Cold tuna with cheese and onions on top. I didn't mind seafood before, but that was asqueroso!
On Thursday we were waiting for people to show up to english class (no one did) I decided to check my email, and was surprised to find an email from Presidente. I opened it and started reading about how grateful they are for my service, how I've contributed and grown, etc. My companion scrolled to the bottom saying "there's a PDF attached" and opened the photo of my flight plans!! I don't know how the time has gone by so quickly!!
No one tell the hermanas that I'm making them little bookmarks that say "el campo está blanco", but I wanted to share my cute drawings of said campo!
If you don't already know, D&C 11:3 says, "Behold, the field is white already to harvest; therefore, whoso desireth to reap let him thrust in his sickle with his might, and reap while the day lasts, that he may treasure up for his soul everlasting salvation in the kingdom of God."
El campo está blanco!! Testifico de ello! I know God is preparing his children to recieve his restored gospel y somos los segadores!
I love you guys and all of your love for me and for this great work! Have a marvelous week!
What are you going to do with your extra day this year?
