Week 10/76 Feliz Cumplemes Para Mi

This week was crazy!!

I tried mote con wassio which is barley and peach juice with a dried peach, and it was the worst thing I've tried since being in Chile. But lots of people love it I guess.

We went to the mission office for interviews with the president and then couldn't find a bus home, so our district leader called an Uber for us, and I rode in an Uber for the first time! And the car had crank windows!

I tried Ecco which is basically Chilean, Word of wisdom approved coffee. It tastes ok with a lot of sugar.

We decorated our house with leaves and hand turkeys for Thanksgiving, even though they don't celebrate it here, we do!!

We have also been planning a baptism, which is going to be on Saturday and we are so excited!

Hermana Eriksson had her 13th cumplemes on Friday, and I had my 2nd cumplemes on Saturday, so we threw a party,  blew up balloons, ate candy, and had a dance party. We had to do this all on Thursday night because on friday and Saturday we did intercambios (exchanges). So I spent the day in chiguayante with hermana Redding!

It has been so sunny, but also very windy. We are starting to see Christmas decorations in the houses, and the time is flying by.

Yesterday we had a funeral, because we share a sector with Elders, and they said we needed to divide the area. So we mourned for the half of our area that we lost.

Also we ran out of gas for our house, and for the past week we have been microwaving food and taking cold showers.

I can have a decent conversation in Spanish, and I feel smarter every day!

I hope you are all doing well. Have a great week! Send me emails!!
