Week 11/76 Un Bautismo Del Día De Acción De Gracias!
This week I attended my first zone conference. It was all in spanish so I only understood like 65% of it, but it was still really good.
We have hot water again and a working stove, which we used to roast s'mores.
We tried some really tangy flan jello stuff, it was a lot by itself, but it'd probably be good as a layer in a cake.
For Thanksgiving we were home most of the day, and in the afternoon we had a baptismal interview with our friend Melissa. But we still bought lemon pie to celebrate at the end of the day, and we wrote what we were grateful for.
If I had a nickel for everytime this year that I attended a baptism and then ate pizza afterwards, I'd have two nickels which isn't a lot, but it's weird that it happened twice.
The baptism was on Saturday and it was so cool! I still can't believe I had my first baptism 4 weeks into my mission, but the spirit was so strong and I loved teaching Melissa!
This week we've been doing lots of contacting. In the streets, on Facebook, and via references. We talk to so many people!
We took down our Thanksgiving decorations and put up our Christmas tree!! We are so excited for Christmas even though it feels like the middle of July most days.
I can understand spanish! Ok, like 75% of what people say to me, but it is so cool!! I am still practicing speaking, and forming sentences, but I have lots of opportunities to talk and practice.
Chile is amazing, it is so beautiful, and the people are so nice!
I hope everyone had an awesome Thanksgiving. Send me emails! Love you guys!
