Week 18/76 Vamos A Ganar Facebook Pizza!!

Anyone ever tried Chowfu (if that's how it's spelled)? Well I did this week and it was really good, I think it's Peruvian. It was like fried rice, and for dessert we had pancakes! Other fun foods this week were the biggest pot of mashed potatoes I've ever seen, more chicken and rice, and just about every type of salad there is. 

Everyone remembers our friend that lived in a different area and then was on date to be baptized, right? Well we were talking with the elders on Wednesday and asked how he was doing, and turns out he is a member, he was already baptized and he forgot, but the people of that ward knew who he was and the situation. So that is the crazy ending to that crazy story.

We had intercambios this week and I lead the area for the first time with Hermana Transtrum, and it was better than I thought it would be! 

We visited with the bishop's wife and she works in the Deseret book of Chile, and she has a collection of copies of the Book of Mormon in a bunch of different languages, so we snagged a few photos. 
We met a cat named Oreo at lunch one day and I just happened to be wearing my white and black polka dot shirt that matched, so we had to take a selfie. 

We had an activity about studying the scriptures and afterwards we celebrated the birthday of our ward mission leader. 

This week was our mission wide week of Facebook. Each day there were new challenges and ways to earn points. We talked to so many people and sent so many messages trying to get the most points so our zone could win a pizza party with the president, like in elementary school! But it was fun, and it really helped the mission Facebook page, and we will find out later today if we won the pizza!

Week 75/76 White And Ready To Harvest

I had the opportunity to teach about the Restoration and the Book of Mormon in english for the first time this week!  I asked them if they assist another church, when I was trying to ask if they attend another church and a few other spanish words slipped in, but it went well and they agreed to read 3rd Nephi!   We had 2 intercambios this week. With hermana Toro and hermana Guevara. I always learn so much and enjoy getting to know the hermanas!  We also laugh a bunch and become good friends!  We picked golden berries and had fresh golden berry juice for lunch. We also ate some pastries like the ones from Brave and Hermana Ortiz told me that in spanish they don't have a scottish accent. We had probably the worst lunch of my mission this week. Cold tuna with cheese and onions on top. Week 12/76 Milagros Y Un Nuevo Mes

This week was so crazy, but first off thank you everyone who sends me emails. I love reading about your lives and hearing from you!  Other than that it's been adventurous.  We know this member and we visit him all the time. He's 95 years old and he's so cute. His daughter is at his house to help him and we just go talk to them and she always gives us so much food. She's so nice and we just love visiting with them. We visit these other members, Dora and Marisol, all the time. Marisol is blind but they're always super sweet and they always help me with my Spanish. I'm so grateful for all the members here.  On Wednesday we had a crazy thing happen. There was a drunk guy in his car and he was trying to talk to us and then we were like 'okay here's our pamphlet' and he was like 'get in my car come with me'. So we are trying to get away and we get in  another car with this couple and we thought they were going to drive us away but then they got out...
