Week 34/76 #yogavibras

I spent approximately 9 hours on a bus over the course of 3 days this past week.

On Tuesday we headed to Chilan for a choir practice and to clean the chapel. I´ve never vacuumed the benches of the church before, but you know if you can´t take your daughter to work, the work will come to her.

I also found a very friendly cat.

The next day it was back on the bus at the crack of dawn to have another practice. They are lucky that I like to sing or the hours of bus rides might not have been worth it.

The next day it was the same, I know it sounds crazy, but I missed waking up at 6:30!

We also did a photo contest this week with our morning exercises, and while our zone did some very nice exercises we slept in the bus.

We finally arrived at the conference, we had been preparing all week! We were going to have a conference with Elder Christensen of the 70 and his wife! I was already nervous to sing, when sister Christensen approached me and asked me to sing ¨I feel my savior's love¨ with her for her talk! Of course I said yes! All the practices we had, all the hours in the bus and the 5:30 mornings were worth it. It wasn´t the tabernacle choir but we sang with the Spirit and it was a powerful conference. President even said my Spanish is perfect and I have never received a higher compliment!
I ate french fries with a skewer stick, that was a first. Our neighbor gave us once (pronounced own-say, and it's basically a little snack like tea time between 4-9 everyday) but hey, a fried egg and meat at 8:30pm on a Tuesday is great. I also had some really good ice cream this week, even though it's been freezing ice cream is siempre vale la pena!

Sunday was election day here in Chile, which meant no street contacting until after the results were out, and a new excuse for our amigos to say they couldn't meet or come to church because they had to go vote, ok valid, but still. They all missed the Sunday school lesson that there is no excuse to not hear the gospel of christ!
So we had a lot of converts come to church on Sunday, but no amigos :(

If anyone wants to join us in praying for our friend Valentina and her family, they are trying to find a new house here in Yungay and we are trying to put her on date for the month of May!

I love you all! Have a great week and I'd love to hear from you guys!

Also a fun fact, last monday we trapped a spider in a tupperware container and it is still alive and we both have a fear of spiders so we have accepted the fact that we are in a trio now with the spider in the tupper on the floor of our room.
