Week 36/76 No Boys Allowed

8 months as a missionary! En que momento?! I don't know where the time has gone, but it is definitely well spent!
My companion bought a giant pencil and we have spent the week bring it to meetings and lessons and everyone loves it! 

We had an Hermanas meeting with all the Hermanas in the mission, that meant we had to travel to conce. For the lucky missionaries in Yungay (us) that meant either traveling to chillan and then to conce (about 4 hours travel time) or go straight from yungay to conce and leave the mission boundaries (about 2 hours travel time). Like the obedient, but smart missionaries we are, we got permission from the APs and left the mission! 

It was a great meeting, high key relief society vibes, but really good! 

We had a Blitz at the end of the week, for once we didn't have to travel, they all came to yungay! We worked a lot, had lunch together, and then worked some more! Me and Hermana Blanco had a lesson with our amigo Carmen and she committed to come to church! The spirit in her little store was so strong and I've never felt more sure that someone would keep a commitment! 

The next day we stood outside the church, it was pouring rain and super windy, some of the active members didn't even show up, but at 10:05 Carmen walked up and I was so happy I could've cried! 

She said she would only stay for the first hour, but when she tried to leave hna. Raquel offered to take her on a tour of our tiny chapel and show her around, they even went and saw the baptismal pool! 

I know that God is a God of miracles, I saw it in Carmen's eyes and felt it in the spirit of the sacrament meeting! 

This week I studied christlike love, starting with stories of christ and his love for others. In the midst of this study I received multiple reminders that God knows me and that he loves me! I am so grateful to share that love with the people of Chile, even if its only for 10 more months. 

I love you all! I hope you were able to see miracles this past week, and if not I invite you to look and find them starting today!

Week 75/76 White And Ready To Harvest

I had the opportunity to teach about the Restoration and the Book of Mormon in english for the first time this week!  I asked them if they assist another church, when I was trying to ask if they attend another church and a few other spanish words slipped in, but it went well and they agreed to read 3rd Nephi!   We had 2 intercambios this week. With hermana Toro and hermana Guevara. I always learn so much and enjoy getting to know the hermanas!  We also laugh a bunch and become good friends!  We picked golden berries and had fresh golden berry juice for lunch. We also ate some pastries like the ones from Brave and Hermana Ortiz told me that in spanish they don't have a scottish accent. We had probably the worst lunch of my mission this week. Cold tuna with cheese and onions on top. Week 12/76 Milagros Y Un Nuevo Mes

This week was so crazy, but first off thank you everyone who sends me emails. I love reading about your lives and hearing from you!  Other than that it's been adventurous.  We know this member and we visit him all the time. He's 95 years old and he's so cute. His daughter is at his house to help him and we just go talk to them and she always gives us so much food. She's so nice and we just love visiting with them. We visit these other members, Dora and Marisol, all the time. Marisol is blind but they're always super sweet and they always help me with my Spanish. I'm so grateful for all the members here.  On Wednesday we had a crazy thing happen. There was a drunk guy in his car and he was trying to talk to us and then we were like 'okay here's our pamphlet' and he was like 'get in my car come with me'. So we are trying to get away and we get in  another car with this couple and we thought they were going to drive us away but then they got out...
