Week 46/76 And Then There Was One

We had intercambios on Wednesday and Hermana Martin and I spent it running around Yungay talking with everyone. We got asked if we were Jehovahs witness' once, and only almost got bit by a gang of street dogs. 
We walked to the extremes of Yungay, found the river and a hidden soccer field.
I tried my first Chilean KitKat (not as good as I remember them being in the US) 
Carmen came to church yesterday! We called her on Saturday to invite her, and shared Matthew 11:28-30, but it seemed like she wouldn't make it.  Putting all our faith in our Hevanely Father we moved forward, and she sent us a message at 10:01, right as the meetigng was starting, voy por allá! She has felt the spirit and knows that this is the true church, keep her in your prayers so she can recieve the confirmation she needs to accept a baptism date! 
We also learned that Javier has a 11 year old son, and somehow forgot to mention that for the past 3 months! 
It was a good week, good food, good company, and a handful of miracles.

Cj (my brother) finished his mission this week and now I've got to work extra hard to make up the blessings!

Week 75/76 White And Ready To Harvest

I had the opportunity to teach about the Restoration and the Book of Mormon in english for the first time this week!  I asked them if they assist another church, when I was trying to ask if they attend another church and a few other spanish words slipped in, but it went well and they agreed to read 3rd Nephi!   We had 2 intercambios this week. With hermana Toro and hermana Guevara. I always learn so much and enjoy getting to know the hermanas!  We also laugh a bunch and become good friends!  We picked golden berries and had fresh golden berry juice for lunch. We also ate some pastries like the ones from Brave and Hermana Ortiz told me that in spanish they don't have a scottish accent. We had probably the worst lunch of my mission this week. Cold tuna with cheese and onions on top. Week 12/76 Milagros Y Un Nuevo Mes

This week was so crazy, but first off thank you everyone who sends me emails. I love reading about your lives and hearing from you!  Other than that it's been adventurous.  We know this member and we visit him all the time. He's 95 years old and he's so cute. His daughter is at his house to help him and we just go talk to them and she always gives us so much food. She's so nice and we just love visiting with them. We visit these other members, Dora and Marisol, all the time. Marisol is blind but they're always super sweet and they always help me with my Spanish. I'm so grateful for all the members here.  On Wednesday we had a crazy thing happen. There was a drunk guy in his car and he was trying to talk to us and then we were like 'okay here's our pamphlet' and he was like 'get in my car come with me'. So we are trying to get away and we get in  another car with this couple and we thought they were going to drive us away but then they got out...
