Week 49/76 Bolivian Food. Who Knew?

Cinnamon rolls and ahì de lentejas. Also has anyone else tried cheetos dipped in jam? Or is that just a Chile thing?

On Thursday we got a little bit rained on, but got free berlins from the bakery, we saw a rainbow, and the sunset was straight out of stranger things.

On Friday we had zone conference. They didn't ask me to lead the music, but that would've been too obvious, they'll probably wait a few conferences and then ask me when I'm least expecting it!
I knew we would be getting the new Preach My Gospels, but I was a little shocked when they handed me one in English, because "there wasn't enough Spanish ones for the latinos". I was even more surprised, later on, when President said all the English speakers would recieve a second PMG, in spanish, after lunch. We left zone conference with high spirits, fulls stomachs, and a little extra weight in my backpack!

The sun decided to come out at the end of the week so we got ice cream and watched a marching band practice.

A common service project in the Chilean winter is helping chop, carry, and stack firewood, because everyone has wood burning stoves to heat their houses. That's how we met our friend Patty!

Our friend Hernan came to church yesterday! He's the husband of a very active member, but he doesn't feel ready to be baptized. He's met with lots of elders and we have lunch with them every other Thursday. We know that he is ready to make a promise with his Heavenly Father and have an eternal family, so if you could put him in your prayers that'd be really awesome!

A theme that came up a lot in our conference and my studies this week was diligence. I've been pondering how I can be more diligent and just today I read in Helaman 15:6 which says:

"Yea, I say unto you, that the more part of them are doing this, and they are striving with unwearied diligence that they may bring the remainder of their brethren to the knowledge of the truth; therefore there are many who do add to their numbers daily."

It talks about the success they had thanks to their efforts, because the goal is to have success, but I like that it says unwearied diligence. In spanish it's "infatigable diligencia" which is the same, but other translations of infatigable and unwearied are indefatigable or tireless and that is the kind of effort we have to put in to see results. Like the lamanites we need to strive with tireless diligence in the work of the Lord! The Lord has already promised that we "shall run and not be weary, and shall walk and not faint". Now is our time to do his work, do it tirelessly, and do it diligently.

Love you guys, thanks for reading if you made it this far!
