Week 70/76 Chicken Nuggets, Conferencia, Y Cambios
This week was super divertido.
Mcdonalds chicken nuggets are not as good in Chile. I still think they need Chick-fil-a here.
enjoy various photos of me presenting, and elevator mirror selfies :)
I also presented in a zone conference for the first time. I was really nervous, but it actually went better than I thought it would. Who knew Family Feud would be a good dynamic practice in zone conference!
We had two intercambios. One in Chiguayante with Hermana Anderton, and the other was with Hermana Alcon here in Chillancito. I learned so much, they are such great missionaries. I love the opportunity to see and work with other hermanas.
As far as amigos go, Adrian accepted a baptismal date!
Everyone else has been MIA. So I'll let you know how things go this week, but keep Adrian in your prayers!
This week I've been reading in Alma and it talks about preparedness and true intentions. I think a lot of the mission, and life in general, is about our preparedness and our true intention.
In Alma 43:19,26,45-46 it says ¨Moroni had prepared his people with breastplates and with arm-shields, yea, and also shields to defend their heads, and also they were dressed with thick clothing.¨ Then it talks about how the lamanites weren't prepared. They had the intention to just take up their swords and destroy the nephites. ¨Nevertheless, the Nephites were inspired by a better cause, for they were not fighting for monarchy nor power but they were fighting for their homes and their liberties, their wives and their children, and their all, yea, for their rites of worship and their church. And they were doing that which they felt was the duty which they owed to their God.¨
When our true intention is something good, when we come prepared, and are dressed with the armor of God (see Preach My Gospel, chapter 2), we can be strengthened and have the confidence that God will deliver us through the fight.
Keep fighting!
Love you guys!
